Oregon Foreclosure Law
By admin | April 9, 2010
Oregon allows for both judicial and non-judicial foreclosures. Â Right of redemption is possible depending on the foreclosure process used. Â Generally it takes 180 days to foreclose, though this also varies depending on the foreclosure method.
Oregon uses both deeds of trust and mortgages with some foreclosure methods permitting deficiency judgments.  Both deeds of trust and mortgages in default can be foreclosed on though either a judicial foreclosure or a non-judicial process.
Right of redemption is provided (within 30 days) during judicial foreclosures and deficiency suits are prohibited in non-judicial foreclosures. Â They are permitted in other types of foreclosure.
